Footpaths

There is an extensive network of footpaths in and around the village which stretches from the toll bridge to the Bath Golf Club, and all the way along the tow path.

We produced a Footpaths Guide in April 2013 to encourage people to explore the footpaths and to make the most of our beautiful surroundings. We hope people have found it to be a useful resource! An online version of the leaflet can be downloaded here: MapLeaflet

We work closely with B&NES to ensure footpaths remain open and accessible. We try to walk the paths as often as possible but we don’t spot everything! To report a problem with any footpath please ring Cllr David Mayo on (01225) 466 875.

Maintenance

The Parish Council is part of the B&NES Parish Agency agreement which means we are responsible for cutting back surface vegetation on the footpaths. Volunteer working parties meet in May and August to perform each cut.

We use scythes to cut back the grass and secateurs for brambles and small branches. Volunteers are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothes that will keep out the nettles. We can provide gloves and equipment.

If you would like to join us please call Cllr Mayo or Contact Us and our Clerk will forward your contact details.
